rounded delts

what are some good exersices for the shoulders i was that rounded look on my delts so i can see more of a contrast between shoulder and arm,

im 15%bf so sould be able to see some sort of contrast but so far i dont.

i train my shoulders with my legs and the day is like this

5x5

squat
leg press
press and clean
shoulder press
calf raises
side raises

im constantly hitting more weight and pushing myself but cant see a conntrast unless i tense.

iv seen people with higher bf% with the taper leading to the side of the bi and iv seen smaller people than me with it but with lower bf%

is it justa mix between muscle size and bf%

Re: rounded delts

Heavy presses and shrugs work well enough. Side laterals if you feel you have to. Rear delts get hammered when you do your rows.

You are doing the right thing by concentrating on getting stronger - your shoulders will develop from that.

Re: rounded delts

1 arm dumbbell rows are great - squeeze at the top. When you get up to using 150lbs'ers, you will have massive rear delts.

Any rowing action uses rear delt to an extent - in many respects this is what your rear delts are "for" as opposed to the isolation exercises we are all familiar with.

Re: rounded delts

Its also called training experience, if I remember right Warren you haven't been training that long, give it 6-9 months with a spot on solid diet to see some good results.

Re: rounded delts

i ave been training since i was 16 but just never got to the point where i was happy, the longest run i had was about a year nonstop but had various problems mainly kcal intake as i was at 6th form most the time. i know my physcal appearance will change with all aspects sorted but i see people in my gym who have less muscle mass than me and still have this so i figured it might be exercise or 2 im not including

Re: rounded delts

Another issue is that the guys with massive delts for the most part arent natty trainers. rember delts and traps are the first things to grow when you start useing because of the number of receptors there.

But like others have said its about muscle maturity as well your not going to see tie-ins/seperation like your talking about for a while.

Might be a bit gay, but you could always ask them?

I think you'll find what you observed & written in the above quote is down to genetics.

It sounds like good progress mate, if you were putting on 10lbs in 3 weeks id be more worried about it being water and fat, nice slow gains like that normally point towards good growth.
