Newbee & food help!

Hello to everyone
I feel a bit of a fraud being on here...but im making a start.
Im a mum of one in my 30's and a picky eater. My weight is approx 11st 8, which has slowly crept up over the last2-3yrs and am approx 5ft 9 tall.

I have a slight scoliosis (curvey back) weak right knee ( i think i compensate for my back?) and to top it all a pot-belly or mummy-tummy!
I've been advised to cut carbs...no potato, rice, pasta or bread, which has been hard!!
I've been doing cyle, rowing ,brisk walk, leg curls, bosu ball & pull down weight (sorry i dont know all the posh names)
I sweat but am not out of breath after 1-1 1/2 hrs (3times a week)

i would like to ask for some advice on food...
Im allergic to egg (full-on projectile style vomiting)
Intollerant to cow's milk! have been using soya or oat milk...
I eat a lot of meat & fish...all the advice i read is add protein, do you think a suppliment is a good idea yet?

I have been given some conflicting advice in the past after having been thru a battery of tests because of my bloated stomach (no celiac, thyroid trouble etc, even had a camera put inside for a look!!)
MY aim is to loose about 1 stone and getting rid of the belly would be a bonus...
Thanks x

Re: Newbee & food help!

hi dont feel like a fraud its a good step in the right direction coming on here seeking help and advise at least you want todo something about it so well done in that respect...

IMO you dont want to completly cut carbs but your doing the right thing having protein rich meals... post up what you would eat on a typical day has that would be more of a help...

exercise wise if you sweat but your not out of breathe and still feel you have some left in the tank up the intensity (work rate) and see how you get on...

but you seem to be doing the right things so good luck with it and keep us informed

many thanks sim

Re: Newbee & food help!

Plenty of white fish and veg plus making sure you have a good breakfast.

Unless you are looking to gain muscle I would say a protein supplement isn't required.

Keep up the cardio with moderate weights to help with the toning and you'll see results.

Good luck
