Question Left arm giving way on dumbell bench press

Ok, been training for a short while now 3-4 days a week. I've progressed from 20kg dumbell bench presses up to 25kg but on my 3rd set of 8, my left elbow gives on about the 4th rep. My right is perfectly capable of carrying on.

It kinda feels afterwards like I've had a jolt of electricity in the outside of my elbow joint (like I've caught my funny bone).

My left is a little under developed compared to my right (no filth please).

Any ideas as to how I can restore the balance?

Any help would be appreciated.

It's a bit harsh but drop the dumbell presses, add another set barbell.
It's not uncommon, left, right we all have our better/stronger side.
That jolt is a pinching of the nerve trapped between the muscle fibres/tendons.
Just doing barbell presses will help restore the balance.

Re: Left arm giving way on dumbell bench press

As above, I found my left was weaker than the right. using a barbell helped.
