Hello from another newbie

Just started training and just found this forum. Been having a good read through it and I'm impressed with the amount and quality of the information.

I'm a 40 year old Scottish kid (or so the wife says). I have been diagnosed with ME around 2 years back and was told to take things easy. Well since then I have put on a couple of stone (15 stone 4 @ 5 feet 8 inches) and my body fat has rissen to 34.4%.
This is why I decided to start training again (did a bit in the past). I will be training at home using a Marcy Eclipse power cage and free weights.
So far the workout im using is a full body one. Looks like this....

Squats
Bench press
DB Row
Front Press
BB curl
Tri extentions
sit ups

2 sets of around 8 reps (only been doing it a week now).

Planning on doing this a few weeks then moving onto a 2 way split.
Chest Shoulders and tri's followed by Legs, back and Bi's.

I've got to keep the training to a max of 45 mins as any more really tires me out due to my ME (Cronic fatique syndrome).

Days of I'm trying to get a 5 mile walk in.

Does this seam ok you lads in the know??

Cheers....Ian

Oops....forgot to say, my main goal is to reduce body fat and hopefully change my body shape a bit.

Add in deadlifts and you are good to go mate.

As the weight gets heavier work on splitting your days more to keep the time down.

Start with 1 day, then split to two (I'd train Legs with Chest personally on a 2day split, as deadlifts will have some leg work on back day), then a 3 day split.

Welcome and - hope you stick around.

Thats the plan

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated.
Just finished my first week and it wasn't too bad. Missed out the squats on friday though as my legs were too sore from Wednesdays workout.

Another week and I'll add some deadlifts and more up to 3 sets (after a warm up set) if all goes well.

Thanks again....Ian
