Re: Would like some advice on this 4 day split... thanks!

Did anyone actually read his first post?

'I am fairly new to weight lifting... I started in September, and have had on/off motivation since, from 3 days per week to a slacking 1 per week.'

says it all-- stop telling him to do high volume FFS!!!!

I say keep it simple and low volume when starting out for the first year at least.
His nutrition wont be in place as for most of us it takes years to get it nailed (mines not nailed yet after 10 years training!)

Doing too much too soon causes people to lose interest and avoid the gym, first its 'oh i`ll go tomorrow instead' then its 'oh i start again next week'

When doing anything that requires effort--start off slowly and ease yourself into it--otherwise enthusiasm wanes and you dont stick to it.

same with Diets-- you get people eating ****e and then speaking to a bodybuilder about how they diet--- next thing you know they are only eating white meat and veg---- 3 days later they cant stick to it and are back to eating ****e.

START OFF SLOWLY-- ultimately its the best way to stick to these things!

all IMO
