Re: Proposed Diet

Porky Pie, thanks for the great advice but I need a diet based around the one I wrote out originally. The reason for this is that I am still at school, so my dinner can only be whats on option and I think jacket potato is the best bet.

I am basically trying to keep the diet I wrote out just improve it.

Re: Proposed Diet

Okey dokey.

As a youngster you shouldn't be worrying about diet and cals at your age. Just eat like fuk, all the time. Snack on cheese, chicken drumsticks, full fat milk, full fat yoghurt, bananas, peanut butter on toast, tins of oily fish.

Train hard and let mother nature do the rest mate - don't get too anal about the whole thing, it won't make any difference if you do.

Re: Proposed Diet

I am trying to lose body fat, surely eating cheese, full fat milk, full fat yogurt will make me put on fat.

Don't I need to eat heathily but big, this will reduce fat and increase muscle?

Re: Proposed Diet

In my opinion, it is best to concentrate on one thing or the other with regards to losing fat or gaining muscle mass. I know there are lots of boys on here who will say you should do both but there aren't many who have actually achieved that themselves.

So, to lose weight/fat...

Increase your exercise to a minimum of three half hour sessions of cardio (walking, running, squash, etc) per week, four is better than three five is better than four.

Drop all things like pastries, pies, chips, cakes, sweets and pop.

Most people will get into pretty good shape alone with that

Re: Proposed Diet

Not sure I agree with eating lots of high saturated fats etc, however, as you are young you almost have the ability to benchmark your metabolism for later life. With this in mind you should try and eat lots of everything and try not to think or worry about it too much. If you feel your calorie intake is too high just do more cardio. By not restricting your calorie intake at a young age you will be doing yourself a massive favour for later on in life (especially if you feel you gain sloppy weight easily). Just my opinion and personal experience.
