Yeah heavy and Hard for me when it comes to music.

Re: Work out music? Or just pure silence...

When doing cardio I used to like to listen to trance. When lifting though I prefer something a bit angrier. Bit of metal or something.

This said, at the moment Im putting up with the gyms music. Kinda has a video jukebox. But its getting annoying. Part way through a set and someone stick on a cheesy distracting song.

Need to get another mp3 player but one thats not cumbersome and can easily be stuck on me somewhere.

Anyone done bluetooth headphones yet?

Re: Work out music? Or just pure silence...

I make my own mix cd's to take in, always get nicked, you can leave your wallet, car keys and phone out but not a cd. Haha.

Usually trance or hardcore, Delerium - Silence always gets me going, the new Toca Me aswell.
Sometimes house, but I like a long breakdown, only lift once it kicks in aswell, just gives me the extra ooomph to go.

Re: Work out music? Or just pure silence...

I have a couple of different playlists on my mp3 all of them going from reasonably heavy to very heavy metal. These are used every session depending on my mood.

Bit of hard trance/hard house does it for me. Delerium is good but its a bit too 'floaty' for me.

One that gets me in the mood in the car is GTR - Mistral, just gets me nicely pysched and foccused.

Re: Work out music? Or just pure silence...

Actually, since posting above the music at the gym has really started to do my head in. Got to get myself another mp3 sorted. This morning at 6:30 I had to put up with someone playing Spandau Ballet ! Ever tried pushing those last two reps to "True"... :/
