Morning fitness / jogging

Hi guys,

I've decided that instead of morning walking for fat burning i'm going to change to early morning jogging to increase my endurance.

Just wondering if i should eat before hand or do it on an empty stomach?

Any other advice / tips that are related are welcome

Empty stomach mate!

Try to do it HIIT style rather than jogging, you'll burn more fat...

Good luck, early morning cardio sucks!

I usually run up hills til I feel dizzy/sick carry on for a bit then ease off, it's my version of HIIT

Hell yes. I run to Guildford Cathedral and then sprint up its hill. It's a killer.

I'm not too botherd about burning fat i just want to increase my distance running. Need to be able to run for a decent speed 20-30mins. Once i can do that i'll move into shuttle runs etc.

Fair enough, you'll burn a little fat if you do that in the mornings. You'll also improve your cardio, too. I'd suggest for good improvements that you do at least 30 minutes though and try to vary your pace during the run.

What about shuttle runs? They're something I do for boxing training, Would they be beneficial to Liam (we train together and they're something i want to do more).
