Training a muscle group to exhaustion???

Hi,

I'm after some advice and opinions...

For the last exercise during a session I have been doing drop-sets (I think thats what they're called - starting with a farily high weight and doing as many reps as possible then reducing it slightly and repeating)

If this a worth while exercise???

I'm not after muscle mass at present just trying to get lean

Thanks in advance

Re: Training a muscle group to exhaustion???

i wouldnt do it every excercise mate, can be very brutal on the central nervous system, plus your muscles will get used to the routine so its always better to have a bit of variety, i normally do drop sets once every two weeks or three weeks or so on a particular bodypart, im no expert but seems to work for me

Agree, good to add for variety and shock muscles etc,but def would not make a regular thing... besides after a while you would get p1ssed off doing them all the time
