![]() | advice on training early morning! Due to a new baby and work commitments and am thinking of training at 6am, done by 7am. I will have more commitment and no iteruptions at this time doing my 5 day split routine. anyone god advice if this is a good idea or just stick to the evening? what should i eat before the work out as i don't think i should work out on an empty stomach as i would have had nothing in 8 hours I have a large spare room in my house that i have all equipment needed for a good work out cheers |

Rather you than me mate, I would use and abbreviated routine, 2-3 days per week in the eve, but I am not a morning person. For pre WO nutrition, I'd have a simple carb, and whey shake, it will get into your system quickly.

![]() | Re: advice on training early morning! i work out early doors.... I get a shake inside me about 50mins before hand of 2 cups of fine ground oats, 1 scoop of whey isolate, 1 scoop of egg white powder, BCAA's and L Leucine.....easy to make, mixes well gives me a decent base level of carbs pre workout. Get a good PWO shake in after and then get feeding throughout the day and works for me...

![]() | Re: advice on training early morning! i dont mind the early mornings as i used to do a 20min jog before work in the summer(then weights in the evening), i felt better for it during the day. think this will do the same. I felt my day was also less stressful in work From waking up to training i was hoping to start within 15mins mybe eat a bannana first and stretching, is this to quick? does your boy need more time to wake up or can i start on the weights straight away? |

Personally, if you train at 6 I'd set my alarm for 4.30 so you can down a shake consisting of 100g carbs and 40-60g protein. Prepare this the night before and put it in the fridge. Go back to bed at 4.35 and rise as normal and go straight to the gym making sure you're hydrated enough throughout, maybe sipping an electrolyte drink on the way there.

Remember, you've been inactive throughout the night and you'll need to warm up more so from a neuromuscular perspective than if you were training at the end of the day.

I set my alarm for about 4.40am, get up & have my shake & oats (blended together) then prepare my meals. My bag is already packed (towel, workclothes, shoes, etc etc) the night before, as are my eggs (boiled the night before), but I crack them all at 5.00am, get dressed then set off to the gym about 5.40am. Start training about 5.50am.
