Depends what your goals are. If you've got a belly to shift then its pretty important you get yourself on the treadmill or x-trainer.

TBH, I think cardio is over looked by too many and should be a staple all year round - even for hard gainers. I'm an Endomorph so bascially I have to keep the cardio up or I just get fat. I do 2 morning cardio sessions per week (30mins) and 20-30 mins after each weights session. I generally have 1 complete rest day per week. If I feel I've done too much I'll take another day off.

If you feel cardio is hindering your progress drop it to once per week or just do a bit of the old fat burn programme.
