MP.
Are you still including a warm up set? or straight into an 8 rep set?

Para- Straight into a set mate.

I dont believe necessary warming up with the bar. Uses up muscle energy.

I do some basic stretches before hand, and some light push ups against a wall before my working sets.

Just to dive in here - I don't think MP is advocating anyone to do this themselves...

You should always use some kind of warm up to prevent injury.

In MP's case he's found what works for him. 90% of other people should use standard warm up practices in order to prevent injury.

(Sorry MP - wasn't having a dig, just needed to clarify as odds are someone will read that and follow suit...)

Thats correct.

I do warm up to be honest, but its only very minimal in. Without using the actual bar as i mentioned previously.

I'd love to be able to do that, but warmup wise generally I'm looking at 3 sets on Deads and Squats to get me close to my workset, and at least 2 sets on Bench.

Being a lanky long pod I need to be fairly careful

Re: Upper Chest - It's just not happening!?

Yah, incline bench is great, but I would do it first and pre-fetigue first to get the best bang for your buck.

My upper chest is lagging, bench was my fav lift so I was more focused on that.
But I started doing inclines first and did see a diffrence.
