How long do you bulk for?

I have been training seriously for a year and have been conistently bulking. A year seems quite long to me as i read about people bulking for only a few months and then cutting. How long should/do you you bulk for?

its up to you mate, most people bulk in the winter and cut for the summer

At the rate im going i could be bulking for another year. I suppose im classed as a 'hard gainer' and seem to eat a skip full of food a day and keep fat levels pretty steady whilst gaining muscle. I may not need to go on much of a cut if things stay this way

just keep your head down mate, why not try a clean bulk, your muscles will grow while shedding abit of fat, when im bulking i keep all foods clean except for my cheat meal which is usually a chinese, to try and make it not so much of a cheat, i seive the curry sauce out until the chicken is just coated in it and take boiled rice opposed to fried. as i said mate, keep your head down, train hard, eat **** loads and rest and you shouldnt have a problem

If your gaining lean tissue and not gaining fat you must be doing something right

You do need a cheat day every week tho just to keep your sanity.

Bulkin and Cutting are outdated concepts IMO

Lean Mass gaining is what I do. Slightly higher calories with a more intesne training schedule but less actual workouts per week and more rest.

Dieting is less intensity but more frequent workouts.

LM gaining involves gaining muscle

Dieting involves maintaining muscle.

If you ahve to bulk and then cut all you really have done is gain unwanted fat. It is entirely possible to gain while maintaining 10-12% BF
