i used a modified Atkins diet for my older sister a few yrs ago giving her a high carb day once a week she dropped from a size 22 to a size 12 in a year.
Slight exageration on my part

But yeah, the saturated fat problem is a bit silly...

Anyway, how did your sister get on with it? Did she re-bound at all or stay around that size 12? What was her training like?

Re: Newbie Girl would love some advice please!

i highly reccomend morning cardio, it worked for me so well and its really not that hard. at that time in the morning i was in no state to feel tired so i just got on with it.

i would seriously take a look at your diet, a few of my female friends have had some bad rebounds on the atkins diet and werent always in the best of moods. there are alot of diets out there, finding the right one that works for you might take time.

good luck!

Re: Newbie Girl would love some advice please!

Adam she has settled now at a size 14 but 3 months ago she won a slightly altered Ironman comp at her local gym which was awesome....

In my experiance women in general do not eat enough protein in their diets even changing this will result in some fat loss as it takes your body more calories to eat and digest protein than it does both carbs and fat.
