from 4 day to 2 or 1 day split

thanks to everyone and their advice i am happy with my progress.

As per the title I used to go to the gym 4 days per week (when i first started). Now i only go 2 times per week max cos i had exams to do and i can't afford to go too many times.

So I've gone for a 2 day split (with some weeks going once! and having a 2 week split)

Is it a good idea to train every body part on the same day or shall i do my 2 day split but over 2 weeks?

I can only go to the gym on Thursdays and Fridays, so i am doing

Thurs - Legs, back
Fri - Chest, shoulders, traps, tris or forearms

What do u think?

I have a sit up bar and some dumdbells at home so i do tris if i havent done them in the gym and abs on sunday.

On some weeks I would like to train at home, but what can i do with only dumdbells and a situp bar?

Also, i've just ran out of whey and would like to know the best cheap alternative to have, half water/half milk? (i can't afford tuna)

Thank guys.

I would split the body over the two days... and change the order to something like this...

Thu legs, shoulders, biceps...
Fri chest, back, tris...

mainly cos legs and back on the same day is pretty big but chest and back work opposite so should be ok... Training at home can be problematic unless you have a decent range of equipment..

As for protein... if you cant afford even bulk protein (which can be pretty cheap but good alternative to the store bought stuff..).. then a pint of milk instead would make a good sub...
