Can I do more

Ok, I am consuming around 3000-4000 calories a day with 200g of protein in it. At the moment I am training three times a week with about 8 exercises per session. Do you think there is room for anymore training?. ...I ask because I am gaining some nice muscle but I am not gaining much weight. In fact I dont think I have gained a gram of fat lol. Is it my metabolism, I know its nuclear scale but it seems to burn it off on its own.. Not all bad I am building muscle but it seems like it will TAKE AGES to build enough and get me too a decent weight. Before you ask I am 6ft and 149lb Thanks for your time.

Re: Can I do more

How long have been training for? Building muscle can sometimes be a pretty slow process espiecially for someone with a high metabolism. It took me ages to get from 55kg's to 75 kg's.

With regards to your training, i think your training volume is about right, you just have make sure that the intensity is high. Think, "Work harder" instead of "Work longer".

Are all your lifts getting heavier and heavier with each week?

If you are gaining strength but not gaining weight, it probably follows that your training routine is fine, but your diet doesn't have enough calories in it.

Look at your diet first.
