Pull ups

Hi guys,

I train at home, I've got a bench, barbell, dumb bells etc. I don't have anything to do pullups on, any recommendations / ideas?

I'm not keen on putting a pullup bar on a door frame ;)

Thanks in advance!

rubduck.

Re: Pull ups

if youve got a loft hatch you can do chins on a bar in gap when lid removed, there is prob custom made stuff depends on room you got, take it garage isnt an option

Re: Pull ups

Cheers for the reply mate. The loft is definitely a possibility, I could look into that. Get to keep my heart rate up running up and down the stairs between there and the 'gym' too, especially if I do supersets ;)

Garage is definitely not an option. That's reserved for my bikes & my tools!

Try this mate...http://www.ukfitnesssupplies.co.uk/m...FSoMQgodbFpflg
Its a good alternative to the usual screw in bars for the door frame.

Re: Pull ups

I have bought the powrbar. Meant to get it yesterday but should be getting it today(They couldn't find my address, duh!)

It hooks onto the top of the door frame and holds up to 20 stone i think, maybe more.

Most people rate it mate, as long as your door frame is not rotting it should be fine.

Re: Pull ups

Do you have a garage with josts showing? if so drill 4 holes, 2 each side(left and right) and loop rope around, thats what i use and its alot harder than doing them on a bar, and cheaper lol

You`ll be waiting a long time then...

The whole things works on a canter lever system so the more pressure I apply to the bar the greater the load placed on holding it in place, as said earlir (or other post) only thing I can`t do with that bar is plyometric pull ups, everything else is perfect

Re: Pull ups

since youve gota garage- if you know a welder you can get a chin bracket made that goes in the corner of the walls and takes virtually no space ive seen one and used it superb -has to be custom made far as i know but easy for welder .engineer or similar
