Re: Having a little change

Make legs a priority and give them their own day because if training hard you will not be in any state to do another bodypart as well.

How about,mon-chest/bi
tues-back/tris
thur-legs
fri-shoulders

Re: Having a little change

Why not just try & train every other day & forget about cramming all bodyparts in to a 5-day week?

Re: Having a little change

chris, thats a good alternative. Me and chris train similary, I do:

M - chest/bi
W - shoulders/tri
F - Back/Hams

M - Quads/Calves
W -chest/bi and so on.......

Before starting this routine I hated the idea of waiting over a week to hit each body part. However, as it stands I do three execises for each body part (two for the smaller ones) with one proper set to failure on each. That is it, it hits it good and proper and I welcome the rest then.

Before this, I was chronically overtraining. My growth had plateaued and I was tired all of the time, to the point of getting depressed. I was training because 'I had to' and not because 'I wanted to'.

Re: Having a little change

Yep, very similar to me, although I'll literally train every other day (unless I can't make it due to work reasons & I'll leave it to the next day).

For instance; I trained back & hamstrings yesterday. I'll rest today & tomorrow (working all day tomorrow & gym is closed when I finish), so I'll train quads & calves on sunday.

I feel more up for training than I ever have done doing it this way.
