The fun alternative to steroids

Ok so its not that fun. I have cut my training to two sessions a week on upper body one lover. I am concentrating on compound movements pull down bench press and squat.

With squat I am doing one set of 20 and adding a kg ever session. Im on 57kg. I have never made so much progress in the whole of my life! My body is transforming and my lifts are going up on all other exercises. Even isolation ones. My body fat is going down my and im packing on muscle. It think before is was doing too much. Now im recoversing enough.

Squats im sure its all due to squats. That’s the way to go guys!

Have you been reading brawn ??

Either way, yep you are spot on right mate, IMO most people over train, and as you said the squat is the daddy of all exercises, second to none!!

I do 3x8 on most exercises that I do but I try to add a kg onto the weight each session.

Sometimes I cant but I have put 10kg on shoulder press & about 5 kd on bicep curls. About 5kg on bench press although if I really push myself to the limit I can just about do a set of 8 on 50kg (normally do 40kg)

Really happy with my progress since I have joined a gym rather than use a multi gym in my garage.

Im eating better as well which will no doubt help me.

Not doing squats yet but am starting them in 3 1/2 weeks when I change my current routine to a 4 day split type thing so hopefully will do alright at them.
