If your finding the weight light & there is no other option, then just do more reps until you feel a massive burn. Alternatively, you could try barbell/dumbbell lunges or leg presses for reps.

It's hard to over ride the natural instinct to stand up as quickly as possible so you really have to concentrate & stay calm, ish. Make sure you have a spotter.
