Newbie..again!

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to introduce myself. Im starting training again after about 2 years off :beer1: Im alot more serious this time round, having allready got on the proper diet(its tough going eating this much), I worked out last night and am loving the burn this morning!

Im 33yrs old

6ft 1

158lb (yes i know, bordering on under-weight)

i dont know how accurate the machines are, but i used one of these BF% machines. it said i was 4.6%. I know i have an extremely fast metabalism and carry very little fat but 4.6!!?

Anyway, my 1st goal is to reach 12stone.(no problem)
Thanks for looking!
I look foward to being a part of this forum.

Pete:lift:

Re: Newbie..again!

Firstly, welcome.

Secondly, good that you are back to the sport.

Thirdly, sorry to disappoint, but the scales are massively inaccurate
I know if I've had a pint of water and need a $hit I get the results of a walrus!

What does your training & diet look like?

That's what i thought! ive got some callipers coming so should get an acurate reading

What does your training & diet look like?
Im eating 5-6 meals per day:

1) Breakfast = oats, whey
2) Snack = fruit, protein bar
3) lunch = wholemeal pasta/rice with turkey
4) Snack = Ham salad sarnie
5) Dinner = meat & veg
6) Snack = nuts & whey

obviously this varies from day to day but overall i think im eating pretty well.

(lower) reverse crunch
(upper) crunch
(obliques) dumbell side bend
Calf raises
Deadlifts
Lunges
Squats

Bench Dips
Curls
Shrug
Upright Row
Lateral Raise
bentover row
Bench Press
Incline bench press

im doing 3 sets of 12, mon, wed, fri

Im hoping to do this for a month just to get back into it, then i'll change to a split, what dya think?

Cheers

Pete

Re: Newbie..again!

My callipers arrived today so i could measure my BF%.
The result is 11.8%. A little different from the 4.6% the machine said!
Just goes to show you how inacurate the machine is!
