New to this. All advise welcome.

Hi guys. My names Adam. Im 19 and from Milton Keynes.

I've had a few rough months and have done next to no exercise. I was in a big car crash and lost my licence due to drink driving. I lost my job due to this! So for about 6 months I have basically been sat in my room feeling sorry for myself! But Ive started to get myself sorted out, got a new job, new girlfriend. So I really want to get back in shape, but this time, I really want to bulk up. Ive done a lot of research. But I'm still feeling really lost, as before I was just going to the gym every now and then, when I felt like it, and was eating whatever was put down infront of me! So I dont know things like what is good to eat for what, how many calories I should be having a day ect.

If anyone could give me any tips/advise I would appreciate it.

Thanks again (You have got a really good community going here!)

Adam

the other 3 should be solids

hope this helps, keep it simple to start with see how you get off with this for 6/8 weeks take a photo now and in 8 weeks - try and notice differences

good on you sorting your life out now- dont let it go down the pan in the wrong direction mate - good luck

It's difficult to give you any detailed advice without knowing any specifics about you to be honest mate.

If you could post up your stats, your typical daily diet (supplements included) and your training routine then the guys can give you some specific advice.

Re: New to this. All advise welcome.

Hi guys. Sorry about the late reply. My weight is 12 stone. Im 5' 11" and have a fairly good build. As far as a diet. Im just eating as little as possible at the moment, to try and loose the fat thats on my belly and chest. (which I know is the wrong way to go about it.) Im not fat. Im just in no way tonned and have what might be called a beer belly, and man-boobs!

As I said, I have donr research, and all that I have found is that I am both too young, and not fit enought for steroids. And there are so many different diets about that I dont know whats best for me, as I dont know the difference between carbs and fat! Or how many calories Im taking, or how many I should be taking.

When I said Im new to this, I really did mean it. But its something that I really want. And Im prepared to put in whatever work is needed.

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Thanks once again,

Adam

Re: New to this. All advise welcome.

Dude, as you said, neglecting food isn't the correct way to loose weight.

You say you want to bulk up, but then you say you are wanting to loose fat?

Which one do you want to do first mate? I suggest (& taking into consideration your height & weight) you lose your bit of fat first then concentrate on a clean bulk.

I bet with a sound diet you will lose your 'fat' quickly combined with weights & cardio. Can you post up your current diet mate?
