(give proper age by the way not many people can be bothered to work that out) Just stick with cardio for the moment until your a little bit older and have near fully developed. It is boring but worth it, i waited til i was 16 and had been training with machines for 2 months building a base. |

It's clear you have a lot of enthusiasm and need some guidance so it's best to be a little more specific about your age, and maybe deal with one issue at a time instead of trying to absorb all the years of experience there are on this board in one thread. First & foremost, if you are under 16, I would advise that any resistance work is kept moderate as your epiphiseal ghrowth plates will not yet have sealed. I frequently get queries on training from young lads & my answer is always the same. I think the enthusiasm is great, but patience is needed too. Sadly, this is not something I find is in abundance when you're that age!

It's great to see the enthusiasm. it may be of use in these early stages to use light weights only, so you can master exercise form for when you are ready to hit the iron hard. I'd work on the basic compound moves that will provide a perfect foundation: Squats Deadlifts Incline bench pressing (flat benching carries too much risk) barbell rows. Like I say though, weight is to be minimal. All you need to do is focus on getting technique right & you'll be streets ahead of most guys when you start training hard.

| UK-M Swimsuit model | Re: Recently wanna get muscly Cardio is fine Adam. Push ups, sit ups you can do as many as you like, its just the resistance training that you need to wait a while with. In the next 4 years your bodys going to change so much on its own with out you training hard, so leave it be. Diet and cardio, flexability perhaps boxing or martial arts are things you could look at now to get a good grounding for the future. With weights stick to pauls suggestion twice a week with not too much weight. - and nobody is saying go away and come back in a few years! Stay and read and learn! By the time your 16-18 you'll know more than most of us! I have a younger brother your age and he has just started the gym too, I think its great - i wish i had started so early.
