Re: Pause Rest ECT

Most people rest between 60 to 90 sec between sets , unless your your strength training , that can be up to 3 mins, if your going for high reps endurance workouts, keep the rests to about 45 sec. At the end of the day everyone is different, so its best to play around and see what works for you.

Re: Pause Rest ECT

Rest as long as you need to in order to complete the next set.

Some people go for cumulative fatigue and pick a weight that is easy for them on the first few sets, rest fairly briefly and the weight becomes hard by the last couple of sets.

Other people like to just do a couple of hard near maximal sets, with plenty of rest in between.

Most people pick something somewhere in between.

Anywhere from a few seconds to 5 mins is fine. If you take more than 5 mins or so, you may find your muscles have cooled down too much... but don't expect to be able to repeat an all-out set unless you rest for several minutes.

There is no right answer here - just do whatever you're happy with and don't worry what others are doing.
