JezR is on a distinguished road
Just starting working out, pointers would be much appreciated

Alright guys Jez here, I'm new to working out.
I bought some dumbells recently, am joining the gym tomorrow, and have at home Weider's Crash Weight Gain and Weider's Muscle Builder.

Basically here's how I am at the moment:

18 years old,
5"10',
9.2stn,
Sick of being skinny.

I'm going on a 'lads holiday' in June, and need to go from skinny to stacked (if possible) by then.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Jez.

Stick to basic compound exercises, eat, sleep.

Some good news: you say you're 'skinny', well you can use that to your advantage. Gains tend to be more noticeable on those with low bodyfat, rather than fatter guys. How many of your mates are a bit 'lardy' and will want to be cutting down for this holiday? I'm sure you'll be able to pull a wicked condition for June by consistently following a sensible training and diet.

Have you got any recent sporting/fitness background, and do you already follow any sort of diet, or just eat normally?

Another thing, don't be tempted to just eat anything to gain weight; keep your food intake clean so you maintain your low bodyfat ready for the beach.

Lift heavy compounds: deadlifts, squats, benches (with other things like curls, shoudler presses of course).

Do only 3 sessions a week: back&shou8lders, legs, Chest&arms

Eat more protienous, but balanced meals. If you miss a meal - take a shake and apple. Blanced = protien, carbs (slow carbs like brown rice, brown bread etc, NOT crisps or chockolate) & fat (unsaturates > saturates)

Sleep well

Try: tribulus terrestris, fish oils, creatine and L-Glutamine (as you want faster gains) as supplements.

Dont overdo it, dont go crazy in one session and f**k yourself for a week, start gentle and build up carefully, until you cna put high intensity into a lift without killing yourself.

I myself am naturally skinny, you need to eat alot of food to gain muscle. Good luck.
