![]() | update but could do with a bit of help Hi, I posted on here about 8 months back. I was 20ish stone and feeling pretty low. Through diet and cardio i have managed to get down to 17 stone but now its getting hard. I am 6' 5 and really dont want to be a beanpole. I still have a fair bit of fat and would like to loose more weight but am worried that i will get too skinny and look stupid. I do a few weights and things at the gym but nothing heavy just say 3 sets of 12 on quite light weights around all of the machines (not feeling brave enough to challenge the free weight room yet). My diet needs alot of work imo and i am concerned that maybe i am not eating enough calories/fat. I have gone from eating take away 6 nights of the week, 2-3 chocolate bars a day, 2-5 packs of crisps, biscuits by the barrel and drinking around 15-20 pints a week ( I have knocked the alcohol on the head all together). Here is what i eat in a day: 6am - Apple, bannana glass of skimmed milk 10.30am - 1 tin of tuna in springwater and mixed salad (must confess to using extra light salad cream!) 2pm - chicken breast or jacket potato with salad 5.30pm chicken salad and sugar free jelly for pudding Workout at the gym 6 nights a week for about 2 hours between 7.30 and 9.30. 10pm tin of tuna or protein shake sleep at 11pm I drink between 3 and 4 litres of water a day and 500ml of cranberry juice. My next goal having lost some of the weight is to carry on loosing (i am especially desperate to loose my man breasts which it seems no matter how much weight i loose from my face arms legs stomach etc never go away at all) but then totry and start building some muscle (dont get me wrong i dont want to look like arnie just not a skinny beanpole) Any help would be appriciated and i would like to thank everyone who has helped me get this far! Oh yeah and if anyone knows how i can get rid of my tits it would be good to hear from you (this is what gets me down the most!) Jonny |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Firstly, congratulations. Sounds like you are dedicated and will make the next step. The tits thing - might be from so much beer over the years. A friend of mine had a similar issue. They will drop as your BF (body fat%) doeds unless its gyno - but lets not worry about that just yet. Do you know what your BF is? Whats your chest routine (if you have one) look like? Breakfast - personally I'd drop the milk. Too much sugar in milk. Also go for some oats with water (if you can stomach it - maybe a little reduced sugar jam or a banana if you cant) and a protein shake. 2pm snack - go with brown/poss basmati rice or sweet potatos. Cardio - can you do your cardio first thing in the morning? Do this on an empty stomach and you'll certainly notice a difference. I'd start hitting the free weights. You sound like you're getting yourself fit now, why not go for it. Forget what anyone thinks, be brave - you've done well so far - so get yourself in the free weights section. Get your form right and start relatively light. Heavy weights will help you continue to burn fat for days!

You can't spot reduce Jonny, so the breasts thing, well, it will be your whole body that changes. How are you training? There is a thread on daily calorie requirements. I think you have not been eating enough, your metabolism has slowed down. Don't just all of a sudden start eating loads more, but maybe just try to introduce a new meal or slightly larger meals. x x x T | |

![]() | Thanks for the replies. I would find it really difficult to change my time for exercise to the morning. I had some rolled oats for breakfast today for the first time but made them with half water and half skimmed milk (If i tried to just go straight in with just water I would never stomach it and would end up giving up so i will reduce the milk slowly). I do mostly walking, running and cycling at the gym, but i do go around all of the weight machines and do 3 sets of 12 on each (all at around 40kg). As for a chest workout, I dont have one? Could you suggest one that might help? I will try to up my daily intake of food abit and maybe introduce another meal. Again thanks for all your help and kind words. Jonny |

![]() | Wicked stuff man! I've started to go for a jog as much as I can in the mornings and then concentrate on weights in the evening, I only jog foir about 20mins but i find it helps a lot because it makes me focussed in the day and also allows me to concentrate on the weights in the evening. Well done man, hopefully I can have good results someday! Just get in there with the weights!
