Free Weights/ Machines

In these holidays I'm hoping to get more defined and lose fat around the upper chest area, I'm reducing carbs from my diet and doing about 20 minutes jogging after training, question is can I just go on the vertical chest machine where you push out and the pec deck and get same results as doing bench press etc with free weights?

Free weights are better. You will utilise more stabiliser muscles and won't get forced into a possibly unnatural movement.

Do the weights BEFORE your cardio (or better still on a different day).

Agreed.

Pec-Decs are pretty crap imo. If you want work work your chest try bench press, incline DB press, dips and flies. Some machines do isolate muscles and give them a good workout though. As said in another thread, machines aren't by any means useless.

Always do cardio after weights if you are doing it in the same session. The best time for cardio is first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and at that time I'd suggest at the very least 30 mins unless you are doing sprints etc...
