![]() | Help! cold or heat for sore muscle? After working my biceps on Monday (I only work each muscle once a week as Im new) my left bicep is hurting like hell (my right bicep is pretty okay) I cannot straighten my left arm and have to keep it at a 90 degree angle. Its been three days and the soreness is worse than it was yesterday. I have tried a hot water bottle and it allowed me to straighten my arm, but only temporarily. Would it be better for me try an ice pack instead? I need advice first because if I try it and it is the wrong thing to do it might make it even worse, and i need to get my left arm ready for next mondays workout if possible. Thanks |

Enthusiasm for workouts is good, but not when they will do more damage than good. Rest your arm properly, and forget about next monday's workout. Last edited by tkd; 08-06-2006 at 05:59 PM. | |

![]() | Tomorrow I'm buying some frozen peas to use as an ice pack. Next monday is a no go I realize now, so i have rearranged my workout routine so that I can do my biceps next Thursday, rather than wait a whole two weeks till I next work my biceps. I'll be using ice packs all he time from now on whenever I get sore. All I have to do now is wait for the water to freeze so my arm can have an ice massage before I go to bed. Thanks for the good advice, m8. Last edited by Karl Sanders; 08-06-2006 at 10:13 PM. |
