Rugby player needs help please.

Hi there, i wonder if you guys can help me?I am 25 and not a stranger to weights (many years ago). i am currently in the off season for a rugby team, the season starts september 1st. i would like to gain 10-14lbs aswell as strength gains, could anyone recommend a trainning regime as well as any beneficial supplements if any? i am a PE teacher so have some idea but it can be difficult to have a regular heavy diet due to work commitments, any advice would be much appreciated.

Welcome Tinker,

Your best bet it to post up your current training routine and then we can work round that.

With regards to training for the rugby season - your whole training should be based around the core lifts - squat, deadlifts and bench pench.

No routine

thats just it. apart from splitting the body areas, i dont really know where to start. i want to focus around those exercises you have metioned and get craking. any recommendations?
