![]() | advice please As some of you are probably are aware from my post yesterday im new to this game and im tall and skinny and very under weight and untill i had a good read of this site and some further searching on the internet i knew nothing about body building. Ive decided my goal is to bulk up as much as possible im not fussed at the moment about definition, being ripped etc etc i just want to bulk up and gain weight even if i become slighty fat doing it thats fine. so ive decided to buy a weight bench and weights for use at home i have found the following information for begginers http://www.leehayward.com/art5.html which also contains a training routine to get me started what i would like to know is can the excerises shown on the machines in the phtos be adapted to be done at home with weghts instead of using machines? Also any other usefull comments or information on this subject would be greatly appreciated but please dont complicate things if it can be helped. Thanks in advance |

------------ The best training method is dual-factor training. However, this is complicated, and in general for people with less than 2-3 years lifting experience who can't yet deadlift over twice their bodyweight, this is overkill. HUGE gains can be made on a simple single-factor low volume routine with progressive resistance for a long period of time for most people, without the need for dual-factor. Since the vast majority of people are in a chronically overtrained state, a brief deload period is required, followed by a two-day split intense training routine, such as this: says its complicated and over kill for someone starting out like me. i want to keep it simple as possible and be able to do it at home with a weight bench and weights at home. | |
