![]() | Thanks for the welcome people I have had a quick look through a few of the forums and im baffled im sure more of it will make sense over time. tatyana bean pole is the only way to describe me i suppose which is why ive decided to join these forums. Im 28 years old this year and im 6ft tall with a 28 inch waist and weigh a measly 52.9kg so as you can probably tell im very underweight and slim as well as tall. Ive decided its time to change and for 5 days now have been eating 5-6 meals a day but trying to keep the meals fat free and healthy as possible. I want to start training and building muscle but i know very little on the subject and find the whole concept quite intimidating and confusing. |

![]() | do i need to be using those shakes at the moment? because ive not even set foot in a gym yet or lifted a set of weights if i had access to a gym or weights i wouldent have a clue what i was supposed to do. i just started eating like that because im very under weight and was under the impression that if i took on lots more calories than i was taking on before then i would gain weight? |

Big up for being so honest about being a newbie. I do think that a good source of protein at every meal is the best way to build yourself up, but I am not a hardgainer. There are some threads for putting on weight. Is there a gym near you or do you have equipment at home? Respect T |

| Administrator | One thing which comes to mind reading this ... buy Cottage Cheese. It's an excellent source of casein protein which you could have in place of purchased protein shakes.. try mixing it in with your rice pudding. I know that sounds grim but I reckon they'd go together quite well as cottage cheese doesn't really taste of anything. ![]() L

It is YUMMY! Someone said it was great with cream and syrup in the gym the other day. I usually have it with babynew potatoes and boiled eggs. And loads of black pepper. x x x T |
