![]() | Abs, abs, and more abs. To start off, sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. -Okay, i've decided. At this point, i'm more concerned with a flat stomach and losing the -half muscle, half fat- man boobs. Do I change my workout routine in any way? I'm going to cut on calories, but should I continue with the high-protein foods + protein powder? Any tips you may have at all are much appreciated. Great forum you guys got here. |

| UK-Muscle Moderator | so u wanna get abs... what kinda condition are u in now?? personally i'd go for a high protien and fat diet and low carbs... nice slow acting carbs when u have them..(oats, brown rice, sweet potato) stop carbs at about lunch time then just have protien and fat for the afternoon and night... after training some carbs are needed to restore glycogen levels... what kind of training are u doing at the mo? if i were u i'd base it on compounds for now to keep the muscle u already have... up the cardio 3x30mins on a cross trainer/ treadmill 6.5kph incline of 8 should be fine... try to keep heart rate about 135BPM of course work ur abs but 'if the curtains are closed u aint gonna see through the window'... so cardio and diet are the only things that will give u abs mate

![]() | I'm doing a mix of the "How to Grow" workout and a little of my own. Leg lifts, elevated crunches, that kind of stuff when it comes to abs. I just posted in the gallery to let you know of my current condition. Link... http://www.uk-muscle.co.uk/members-pictures/12009-newer-member.html Do you mind explaining compounds? Should I continue the protein-powder? Appreciate the quick reply. |

I would eat 6 smaller meals a day and go with that. It would be better if you posted up your diet and then we refine it. Selecting foods that you dont like or wont eat wont work. Post up the diet and we will help you. OK? Compounds are basic compound exercises like: Squats Dead lifts Bench Military Dips Pullups Bent over rows OK?

![]() | Diet is pretty bad to be honest: 6:30 - Protein Shake, 2 eggs and peice of toast (sometimes skip eggs/toast) 10:30- Chicken Sandwich, French Fries, Water (lol, school lunches are bad) 4:30- (postworkout) Something high-protein high carb, varies 6:00- whatever the Mother makes for dinner, usually consists of some type of fish or chicken, green vegetables 8:00- 2 more eggs I've started cutting yesterday, no carbs after 5 pm. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That actually is not that bad, but when dieting, I tend to drop the breads for stuff like apples, and vegetables. Oatmeal is a very good dish to start the day off. Can have that with eggs or whey. If using oats it would be 1 scoop of whey for each half cup of uncooked oats. French fries tast really good but they are kindof not that good for you. Most of the time they are cooked in vegetable oils and actually turn into trans fats, so keep those for a cheat dish like once a week.
