![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, I thought it would be a good idea to post what happened at the doctor’s office last Thursday. I was kindof deeply depressed at the results of my blood tests and so much so that I felt like not posting on the board due to me having so much problems taking gear. After all this is what brought me here in the first place and kindof kept me here (sort of). Then I realized that there are awesome people here and some good friends (I don’t have to name you) so I thought to post my results and also at the same time say what the doctor did to me to help out. Ok, I had the testosterone of a woman, 33 should be 217-1107 and the estrogen to match. This is not surprising as I do take steroids but seem to stay shutdown longer and harder than most doing just a fraction of what others do. This bothered me some but actually not a lot and felt that stopping the gear and doing some PCT protocol would be in order, until I understood what was happening. But, my lipid profile was so bad it actually alarmed the doctor. Seems my HDL (good cholesterol) was about the lowest the doctor has seen. My LDL (bad cholesterol) could not be read because the triglycerides were so far out that it killed the test for the LDL’s Anything greater than 400 MG/DL with the triglyceride levels invalidate the LDL results, mine was 619. My HDL’s were 15 and the normal range is about 3 times that. My HDL’s were too low to help out the LDL’s, read below: HDL cholesterol are the packages that help move bad cholesterol from our blood, they clear our arteries (blood vessels) from LDL cholesterol. So, my HDL was so low that it offered little help with the high LDL’s so the doctor suggested I take antioxidants to prevent the oxidation of the LDL’s to offer protection against their damaging effects of oxidation. And here I thought all I had to do is take apple pectin and fish oils. Well, to make matters worse, I had high homocysteine levels, which is the sticky substance in the blood, which is a precursor to heart disease. Ferritin was high too and that has something to do with too much iron in the blood and which by the way is worse with low HDL levels to prevent inflammatory lesions. Also maybe something to do with insulin resistance and to think I was taking those fish oils to aid in this problem. Ok, to cut to the chase, the doctor was basically asking me what the heck I was doing to get those numbers. To make matters worse I was taking cytomel (synthetic T3) and my thyroid was completely shutdown. The problem here is the fact that hypothyroid (low thyroid) can raise cholesterol and low testosterone levels can raise cholesterol too. I don’t think the doctor wanted me to wait this one out allowing my levels to come back risking further injury to me so he put me on HRT of bio-identical testosterone and progesterone also bio-identical. He also gave me some T4 and bio-identical T3 as well. He told me to trust him and if I follow exactly what he tells me I would be ok. Oh, that is ok for a guy with normal test levels but mine were that of a woman and the estrogen to match. Some guys can get away with big cycles, long cycles and a lot of abuse to the body but not this guy. I will no longer do gear and feel reluctant to give advice on it. Some guys smoke their whole lives and never have a problem with the lungs, and others can’t do it at all without the risk of heart disease or lung disease. Nobody knows. Here is a list of supplements the doctor gave me to help out my condition, and in three months time I will give blood again. Lypo-Spheric: "Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C™ has been called "Vitamin C on steroids!" this is a antioxidant to help with the bad cholesterol being so high and the good so low Vitamin D-3, suspect that everyone is deficient in this, from what I hear. Vitamin E Vitamin E is known to protect cellular and sub cellular membranes. A natural anti-oxidant too for the low HDL’s. Lycopene, a natural antioxidant found in Tomatoes and again good for keeping those nasty LDL’s in check, not to mention prostate health. N-Acetyl Cysteine A powerful antioxidant, a premier antitoxin and immune support substance, and is found naturally in foods. It is a precursor for glutathione, an important antioxidant that protects cells against oxidative stress. Again to help with the lipid profile. lipoic acid: is a unique antioxidant, being both water- and fat-soluble. Lipoic acid has a sparing action on other antioxidants, including vitamins C and E, CoQ10, and glutathione. Again, helpful against high LDL’s Niacin Also known as vitamin B3, niacin has earned a reputation (in supplement form) as a natural cholesterol-lowering agent that often rivals prescription drugs in mild to moderate cases. "Q10 Coenzyme Q 10 - CO Enzyme" is an important antioxidant found in high concentration in human heart and liver, kidney, spleen and pancreas tissue. Q10 Coenzyme Q 10 - CO Enzyme is a powerful antioxidant that protects the body from free radicals and helps preserve vitamin E, the major antioxidant of cell membranes and blood cholesterol. Carnitine plays an essential role in transporting fatty acids into mitochondria, where they are oxidized to produce energy in tissues According to recent findings, the amino acid, carnitine, may possess cholesterol-lowering benefits. IP6 may support natural cell defense against damaging hydroxyl free radicals by chelating with reactive iron. Probably that I have too much iron in my blood. He also suggested I take B-12 and folic acid to help with the homocysteine too. I also added Garlic to help lower cholesterol. I was put on HRT Bio-identical progesterone and bio-identical testosterone creams. I have to put this on my skin (non hairy areas as not to convert to DHT) twice a day. I have to say that I feel really good considering the scare I had big time. If anyone has questions then please ask.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, actually I am more optomistic than before. Not saying that gear was all that bad but I know the cost to benefit ratio for me, which was not good. Look, everyone is diffrent and all are not the same. What works for one might kill another. I will just look harder in other directions to other answers. As long as I have my health I have wealth. This is a long term game and I plan on sticking around a bit longer. I only posted for others to see and learn from (as I payed big money to learn the hard facts). Trust me it is all good. That progesterone the doctor prescribed for me is awesome for allergies, asthma, lowering insulin (my favorite), cardio vascular health, depression, etc. I can post a readme on the benefits later, I am tired right now and need to eat.

I guess you have good company with some of your problems as your brother has been there & coped with extreme shutdown.
