vame out of a shop today where i was getting supplies for a job i was doing and seen a junkie breaking into my van, he'd smashed the side panel window and was reaching in to open the driver door.
i shouted at the f****r and he ran but i chased him and caught up with him about 150meters later, he turned round and pulled a screwdriver about a foot long on me, but before he could do anything with it i had thrown an overhand right and caught him with then and then swept his legs from him at the same time.
he crashed to the ground and i was on top of him in a second and punching the living crap out of him.
the idiot had the cheek to shout he was sorry!
after punching the s**t out of him i got up and sunk my steelys into his boots a couple of times for good measure.

the things that are really doing my nut in is that because of that idiot

1) i now have a broken metacarpal which is gona screw up my training for the scottish shows
2) i feel like i didn't give him enough of a kicking
3) after the event, i phoned the police and they were as much use as . . . . . .something thats no very useful when you need a useful thing, so i feel totally let down by them. they turned up for 2 seconds, asked me what the guy looked like and then disappeared and i never seen them again
4) i went to the police station with the screwdriver i took of the guy to see if they could get fingerprints off it and a) the event had'nt been recorded in their records b) they took one look at the screwdriver and said, naw, cant get anything from that.

so in my eyes now all thats happened is that a junkie got a deserved kicking for trying to steal my stuff while im gona be about £100 out of pocket for a new window and lots more loss of earnings from being self employed and not being able to work with a broken hand.

the junkie gets a sore face, no chase up from the police and the freedom to go and do this again tomorrow if the notion takes him!
im so sick of living in this country where the scumbags and maggots get away with so much and the working person has got to support them with our tax's.

i have no problems with people who cant get jobs being given benefits and the support they need, but junkies get extra cash because they have an addiction, crisis loans that they'll never pay back and whatever else they desire.

i know this is a kinda pointless post but i just needed the rant

Was it not possible to detain him until the police arrived if you had him on the floor? I guess to them though it is just another scrote they will get to court and he will get let off...

EDIT: I don't mean this as the police being rubbish, they have the problem of trying to make it stick. Must be frustrating for them to catch someone like this then they can't actually get any kind of real punishment.

where i chased him to was out of site of my van which was now lying open to the world so the thought of detaining him didn't really cross my mind, i wass focused on trying to get back and secure my van as best as possible.

i would gladly take the assault charge cause then i'd get his name and address.

was only in the shop for less than a minute as well. couldn't believe it!!

i caught one breaking in to my house at 3am a while back. he had a screw driver waving it around. he took of before i could get any shorts on to chase him. because we have a 5yr old, i swear to god id have beaten him untill his parents didnt reconise him if id have caught him. fvcking waste of fresh air!

my wife worries about them a lot but i've told her if one comes in the house he aint getting out again! i bought her a crossbow and told her not to be scared to shoot any idiot that breaks in

i never even thought about catching someone in the house before but after it had happened and we had calmed down the fear set in.
