  | Hey, gotta think about the future!! Anyone here a prison officer or been a prison officer or know one etc? I was thinking of getting some qualifications...just thinking of the future, just in case my business goes pear shaped (been going 12 years, but yuh never know!) cheers Matt |

  | Mate forget it, it's a boring mundane job and having **** thrown over you ain't nice, unless you are lucky with your posting you'll be banged up nearly as much as the inmates. One the other hand the pension etc... is good with early retirement but it's a long way to get there. Old Bill or Fire Service would offer a more exciting job. |

| I'm doing a degree in criminology and christ is it dull, the suggested careers options afterwards are probation officer, police or prison officer and to be honest unless you have the patience of a saint and enjoy being walked all over it's best to steer well clear of all of them, you have to take too much s**t for very little reward IMO. |

| been thinking of doing an open uni' course myself, did A level biology for a laugh and got a B last year...so fancy trying something else, but something that will stand me in good ****e for getting a job in the future should my shop fail. Matt |
