Samsung LED TV
Anyone purchased one recently? Just wanted some feedback on what people thought they were like.
Would like to get a 40in 8series but havent been able to find one on display that I can look at. I have heard there can be a little clouding around the edge on dark scenes, but wanted peoples opinions who have one.
Cheers

Re: Samsung LED TV
Brother has the 46" 6000 series, its auto dimming people complain about but you can turn that off, no clouding on his and he had his now for 5 months, great on ps3.
Awaits team plasma ......

Re: Samsung LED TV
Thanks for the input Geeby112, so maybe the clouding is not as bad as I first thought. I'd expect a little as they are side lit, though I think its not as prominant on the larger panels so that could be why your bro has not noticed any.
I really need to go and see it in the shop but cant find anywhere displaying an 8 series.
Anyone else got one?

Re: Samsung LED TV
I have recently got the samsung 8th gen 46inch.. Its an amazing tv.
Granted you have to fiddle with the set at first to get the best picture, but when you do, it speaks for itself.
Blu Rays are crystal clear. It has bright colours and dark darks. Tv is alot clearer without having HD sky and gaming is on another level.
The sound had abit of bad press, but we have no complaints. playing cds, and it sounds very nice.

You can notice the side lights on very dark pictures, but they can be dimmed.

We looked at the 46inch in Comets and Currys and the picture did look amazing. My girlfriend was even impressed..!
I wouldnt buy it from them though.. You can find most things like that online for alot cheaper... We ended up getting nearly £500 off the high street store prices.

Re: Samsung LED TV
I've seen these today in Media Markt in Berlin and I nearly messed my pants the picture was so good. You can even see clearly standing at the side of the TV. I want one but need the money for other things.

This is the best deal I can find at the moment http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/ue...FQdl4wodMggIsA
I wasnt sure how JL would price match, whether it would be with or without the £200 cashback Samsung offer. It seems only certain retailers are offering this and JL doesnt look like one of them so I will have to give them a call.

Re: Samsung LED TV
It has to be exactly the same offer - give them a call, they can only say no.

On the Samsung website, it has a list of stores which have stopped the offer.
