your heart, will show if you have palpitations or if your fibrilating - probably not the latter, unless you're having mini heart attacks. If in doubt go see your doc mate | |

I've had panic attacks for the last two years and what you describing is exactly how mine started. I was sat at my computer and all off the sudden i had to get up and move away and my vision went to double then blurred. I'm almost over them now and only have one minor attack whcih i can control about once every two months. I dont know what started them but there almost gone but hell it has been a long 2 years. But if theres no chest pain in the centre and you just get panicy, dizzy, dead arm, feel like you heart is just going to stop then its proberly just a panic attack but in doubt get it checked out.

to the op it could be a number of things, panic attacks leave you with a racing heart, can make you dizzy and often you feel like your going to pass out or die, this is a result of sudden influx of anxiety and you should just relax and take deep breaths until it passes. A heart palpitation can be described in a number of ways as people have different forms, it can leave your heart beating fast, irregulaly, or miss a beat and follow with a larger beat. The best thing you can do if your concerned is go to the docs and get an ECG, this will determine whether or not you have any underlying causes, but to be honest more often than not there isnt anything to be concerned about and your just told to ignore it and try to relax should it occur.
