OK I couldn't find a similar topic despite some searching if anyone else knows of one please link to it?

Who gets asked lots of stupid stuff when they're in the gym. Here are some of mine. Can I just say I don't invite conversation I have my iPod as loud as possible but people keep wanting to share stuff with me

Guy: How much weight you put on this year?
Me: Four stone (newbie gains)
Guy: What you on?
Me:..............Food?

I don't want to take protein because I want to be natural....

Why are you working legs again?
Why do you do squats you'll screw your knees do leg press...
Why do you do deadlifts you'll screw your back up do hyperextensions...
Why do you do cleans they're pointless? etc etc etc

What's the point of all this exercise? The moment you stop all the muscle will turn into fat...

You know when I was your age I could use the 40kg dumbells (after I did the 36kgs for 2 reps for the first time)
Don't do chin ups they work too many muscles to be effective....

Guy 2: I wish I could be as skinny as you but I don't have the time to go to the gym
Me: It's just a matter of finding time whenever you can
Guy 2: Oh but it wouldn't matter because my genetics will mean I'm never above 80kg...

Anyone got any others?

Tbh i always look real angry and unsociable so its only the guys i know that talk to me most the time, i get the odd one ask if i can get steroids wich i reply what are those??
i had one guy the other day ask me why i was using hand cream before every lift and i was using liquid chalk
and thats it really - nothing special

Now you see, I'm the opposite. Was doing db rows, now the db's only go up to 50kgs so I do them as a last exercise and do 3 sets of 20 reps and a lad says " Can't even lift those, how do you rep them out like that" to which I just say " thats the drugs mate!! Not the first time someones comemnted. Makes me laugh anyway. The shock on their faces, its basically a spurt your drink out reaction.

never thought of that lol -- too late now though as i put it in my gym bag either open or i squashed it and covered everything with it so i moved on to a chalk ball instead

there's a few lads in my gym that seem to think that taking creatine and protein is up there with roids.. if only they knew lol!!!

'i want to tone up'. what they should say, 'i wanna lose my tyre and gain some muscle'.

some muppet was trying to tell me he had lost 4 stone, used to be ripped 6 months ago blah blah!! had to stop because people kept on picking fights with him.. riiiiiiiight o!

same guy first time i saw him, me and my partner were doing some shoulder work.. ' alright ladies, you two eating properly, u should be eating loads of potatoes thats how i got so big'.

I said to a girl the other day that she had a nice shape to her arms despite the fact that she does not go to the gym

She replied so matter of fact "oh that will be the steroids"

I looked at her in curiosity and said "what steroids"

She said "I'm asthmatic so it's the ones in my inhaler"

I went out sat night and this turkey said "whats the most you can lift with your right arm? " WTF?

I nearly said "you around the windpipe"....but he butted in and then said...."i know its not all them roids mate,you got to eat,burn it all off....and you have to sweat your fcking rat off".

At this point i was just laughing as i ignored him,he soon did one.......clown!

not in the gym but, the guy who delivered my 'carbs n whey' protein said to me be careful taking that i had a mate who took it every day and went into a comer and died from de-hidration!

i just said cheers for that, laughed and shut the door!

Holy ****, i'm on 2 inhalers a day at an average of 8 pumps a day... I should be MASSIVE by now..!!!

It's not what people say it's the muppets who walk around the gym with imaginary lats on display, carrying what can only be described as two huge rolls of imaginary axminster under their arms whilst being a massive 11 stone at 5'8" swaggering round never moving out the way for people. We have particularly funny monobrow'd one at my gym and I don't know whether to laugh or smack him one becuase he sneers at everyone. Honestly he's done a full cardio workout just from never relaxing his stance, arms flared out like in my avi ( people in glass houses).
