my dissertation is in 2mre and my comp wont load up my pictures

when i open it the text comes up fine

but the pictures dont and it says

there is not enough memory or disc space to display or print the picture


i have 2gig free on my c drive any ideas??

i know exactyl how you feel my comp crashed the day my dissertation was due in, i had to had it in a day late in the end.

try this;

go start menu->accessories->system tools->disk clean up

tick all the boxs and hit clean

restart the computer and then try to load the picture again

What operating system are you using?

If it's memory that you're running out of (as opposed to hard disc space), it might be worth increasing the virtual memory size and see if that does anything.

It sounds like RAM to me...

I wouldn't increase the virtual memory I would leave that to windows to manage as that can cause different problems.

Try to clean as much junk off your computer.

Goto start > run

Type "msconfig"

choose "Selective Startup"

Then untick "Load Startup Items"

Then click apply and then ok, itll prompt you to restart and you should choose yes.

I would disconnect from the internet as this will shut all your AV and firewall down if they run at startup.

Open your document and see if that works?

If this doesn't fix it then you can just go back in a pick "Normal Startup" and everything will go back to as it was.

Let's hope you've got a copy of it from when it did load.

Anyway, it might be worth upping the virtual memory and see if that helps.

You can do that by right-clicking on My Computer and select properties. Select the Advanced tab and Click on the Performance Settings button. Choose the Advanced tab and click on the Change button and increase the initial and maximum sizes in the boxes. Click Set and OK everything. It's worth trying anyway!
