Ho ho!

Can anyone tell me how I stop Google pre-emptively showing my previous searches when I start typing?

Y'know, like if I typed "S", it automatically flashes up with "sheep-shagger"!!

OK, so it's not really as bad as that, but would like it to stop coming up with some of my more...edgy...googles!! ;)

I'm running a G5 mac if any use.

Is it the google toolbar on your browser, or the actual webpage?

You need to download ms anti spyware and there is an advanced tab in there, use the tracks erasor

either that or search for the words you are looking for in the registary, you can delete all entries there too.

toools>internet option>advanced and uncheck 'inline auto complete'

If it's the google web page, that won't actually do it.

Go to Tools->Internet Options->Content->Autocomplete and uncheck the Forms checkbox.

tools>internet option>content>auto complete>

Untick everything in there and then click

Clear Forms & Clear Passwords

You could also clear your history in the "general" tab of internet options.

This may help me, on my computer at work all i have to do is clear the history and no-one can see which websites ive visited however at home when i click on clear history it wont, so when my lass types in h for hotmail she gets 'h'ornyfitwomen.com or what ever else ive been looking at. Which always ends in a row (funnily enough)

If thats all you want to hide you can just delete it!

Type in the first letter so that it appears scroll down to it and press delete.
