Great White

Hey Gang

I had to restore my laptop the other day and i backed everything up onto DVD.

Everything worked fine, apart from 2 of the folders on the DVD

Unfortuntally, these were the most important, they were

Uk-Muscle.co.uk (Images, Invoices, Documents, etc)
Kazza Share (Over 2GB of music)

I can see then on the DVD when i explore it, but cant view whats inside them, well i can view inside the UK-Muscle folder and everything is there, i just cant copy it off, as though the files just aint there.

Does anyone know of any software / way around this, so that i can get the last bits off the DVD

The DVD is clean, no scratches, etc.

Are you sure its not a permissions thing?? if you put the disk on a domain networked pc, (user must have domain admin rights) that would be a work around.

ive had this problem backing up documents and settings b4 on XP machines.

If that doesn't work, try a program called badcopy, its good when it comes to recovering files that have been deleted or curropted, I use this when ever i have a cd which has CRC error's.
