![]() | Eggnation Cost: £22.40 (4 x 1300ml tubs) + £4.99 (lid)+ £1.50 P&P = £28.89 4 x 1300 = 5200ml Serving size (6 pumps) = 30*6 = 180ml 5200ml divided by 180 = 28 servings total Grams of protein per serving = 15 grams So 12ml egg white = 1 gram protein (180/15) grams of protein per £1 spent = 5200/12/28.89 = 15g protein for £1 Compare this to tuna: 4 cans cost £2.48 from supermarket (example uses expensive tuna brand) protein per can = 33grams total protein = 33*4 = 132 grams of protein per £1 spent = 132/£2.48 = 53g protein for £1 This is why I don't like egg whites. Though I'm sure if money is no object to you and you prefer the taste of 6 egg whites to 1 can of tuna (I know which I prefer!) that the eggwhites would be a fine solution for you. However for the rest of us where money is a factor in protein source choice eggnation is just too expensive for what you'll get out of it. For those on a budget (like me) protein powder and tuna is the most cost effective option. Hope this was helpful. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, eggnation are horrendously overpriced. The thing is, they seem to have the monopoly on carton egg whites in the UK, so if that's what you want, you have to bend over and pay them. It's annoying as hell, because wholesalers sell egg whites for around £1 per KILO. Eggnation charge several times this. But the wholesalers won't deliver and rarely serve residential customers. So eggnation is the only option. SOMEONE needs to come up with a better solution. There's probably a HUGE gap in the market there for reasonably priced (say £2-3 per kilo) egg whites. Someone could make a huge bunch of money here. |

More than likely not. I have seen an article somewhere(will look for it)that says that the use of egg whites is counter productive in that without the yolk and all its contents the body cannot digest the egg white protein and it just goes right out of the body. The egg is perfect so dont mess with how it comes already prepackaged and full of goodness. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | cookie is 100% there. I see tonnes of people say they eat egg whites but the real nutrition is in the yolk.

I eat them every day. I have read that cultures that eat alot of eggs live a long time (so much for the cholesterol theory). Posted this on another thread but some facts about eggs: What do eggs have in them? The whites contain niacin, riboflavin, chlorine, magnesium, potassium, sodium and sulfur. The yolks With the exception of riboflavin and niacin, the yolk contains a higher proportion of the egg's vitamins than the white. All of the egg's vitamins A, D and E are in the yolk. Egg yolks are one of the few foods naturally containing vitamin D. Eggs also contain LECITHIN, Calcium, thiamin, folic acid and some good fats. The yolk also contains more phosphorus, manganese, iron, iodine, copper, and calcium than the white, and it contains all of the zinc. The yolk of a Large egg contains about 59 calories. I have read though that there is an enzyme in the egg that eating raw is not recomended. I cant remember if it is absorbtion or not good.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Personally i'm for the whole egg - the little mini protein bars - [most of them] are 100% unmessed around with and are as natural as u can get - brilliant for a bb diet but if someone wishes to complement their diet with egg whites imo there is nothing wrong with this - Quote:
