i dont know if anyone said "RegCleaner 4.3" but this is a pritty awsom tool, ad-aware 6.0 is good aswell, u even get free updates. and u would be suprised what "Registry Machanic" picks up on your computer that other software doesnt, anyway this software gives me a nice clean computer. Hope it helps.

If your on dial up or dont have a router then use a software firewall, but for users with broadband and a router dont bother unless you are a anally retentive security masta...aka wingerstain....thats not a typo....

Very nice info. Dial up and a sofware firewall like zone alarm is best. Every time you log on it is a different ip. Also you are only vulnerable when you are on line. Also what hacker whats to jack with a very slow throughput.
Every router uses software also, so it is redundent to run zone alarm software with a router, but lets not put all our eggs in one basket.

Log on as some kind of limited accounts.
If you cant install a printer or install a game then you are well on your way.
