BNP list

What is your opinions on this?
Seems to me that its a lot of fuss about nothing, but having said that I rarely give a fvck about this sort of thing anyway. How big a problem could this be for the people on the list.

*EDIT* if people do use this list as a means of attacking people, and the list is not the most recent, then I feel sorry for any person who has moved into any of the properties since it was made.

Re: BNP list

Its because people can lose there jobs if they are found to be a member of the BNP

Police officers etc...

They have been banned from joining the BNP from 2004 onwards

Re: BNP list

Although i hate right wing politics with a passion a person as long as they arent harming anyone else has the right to there views and if they want those views to be kept private then again this is there right IMO.

I do find it amusingly ironic though how members of the BNP are now going to say they are being discriminated against lol.

Re: BNP list

I hate everything the BNP stands for but think it's way out of order to print this list. The members have the same rights as any other person who is a member of a political party.

I personally dont think its out of order to print the list because as preached from every possible angel everyday discrimination is wrong etc
etc.

so why should they have anonymnity..if they arent doing anythign wrong then theres no reason for people not to know what they represent.

It wouldn't be a problem if all other members of all other political parties were made publis in teh same manner

Re: BNP list

Let's be fair! if it was a tory list and your details were on the list, you'd be ****ed either way.

I disagree....

it is a fundamental right that your political allegiance is personal and private. It is why my wife cannot see me vote in an election. I can't see her vote either. we may tell each other who or what we voted for but it is our choice to do that.

You could say then that my details should be published because I belong to a trade union. Yours should be published because you are a (insert union/political party/gym membership here).. does that make it right?

both the above are in my view right... Personal data is just that. If you were a threat to national security or it was the sex offenders register then it should be published, but this is a list of people who support a political party. Right or wrong, they are entitled to privacy, regardless of what that party stands for.

exactly... either you have to 'come out' politically regardless of party or you keep your privacy.
