Questions for BSM Richard Gosling.

Right lads im gonna make this a sticky for a week or two.

As some of you know i train at the same gym as Rich and for some time i have been trying to get him on the board but he has very limited time so he has said if anyone wants any questions asking to post here and i will ask him the questions and then post the answers.

Just to point out Rich will answer nothing about gear so its basically just training and diet and any other serious questions you may want answered.

I know there are a few people on here interested in strength training so lets have your questions lads.

I will also try and see if he will let me take some pics of him lifting. Nothing definate as i will have to ask him.

Thankyou RobDog. This is an awesome idea, and very generous of him to offer this free advice.

I have a couple of questions, if you only want one, then just choose any:

1. What does he think is more important: Load or volume? (I.e. working up to a 1/2/3RM* or doing **** loads of volume at 80%*)
*=just examples.

2. How frequently does he pull a 1RM deadlift?

3. How does he structure his grip training?

4. How many days per week is his event training, and could he give me, I mean us ;), a sample of how an odd object/event trainnig day might look?

5. **** How often does he bench press? *****

Thanks in advance! I am sure I will have many more.

EDIT: Number 5+2+1 are the ones I would most like answering.

Well TBH i have spoken to him before and he goes heavy low volume 1 week then lighter high volume the next and so on. Also he is very strong in the gym but nothing extra special he just seems very competant at everything and also like he says what you lift in the gym means nothing when competing as a strongman.

I will ask him for a more detailed example though when i give him the questions.

Thanks for the input guys.
