Re: amir khan

Im sure he would KO a few of us before we could land one on him, hell bet we wouldnt even see the punches coming!!
He has achieved far more than we can ever dream of doing & he is only a young man.

As for last nite, well he stepped up a league & got found out!
Wrong tactics? cant go trying to rush in & knock out someone with that KO record esp if your own jaw is suspect.

Re: amir khan

if he was fasting then he shouldn't have fought but i dont think they are seriously going to allow him to fast and get in the ring, the money involved is phenomenal and as above a good fighter just came undone.

NO. does it make me better than him.... NO.

only when we have achieved on the scale he has can we pick it apart... and as far as i am aware there are no silver medallist olympic boxers on uk muscle.

Re: amir khan

In all honesty it was his attitude that made people turn against him, he is supposed to be a sportsmen and gracious not the big I am. He acted like a tosser for ages.

If you are good and you know it then be gracious about, the fact is he had a big mouth even though he had never fought anyone decent, now lets hear the excuses.

I honestly had no qualms with him, then his attitude changed completely and he became a tosser IMO. That was long before he lost this fight.

I personally never thought he would go to world title level. He showed he had a glass chin in his last few fights and they picked someone who had a record of 17 kos in 19 fights, that was a particularly strange move, i dislike him because he has become arrogant, never seemed to be at amateur level, maybe after this lesson he will be slightly less cocky. The most popular boxer in britain, Ricky Hatton, is always polite and curteous whether he won or lost, so there is no need for the cocky "Big I Am" attitude of some boxers.

I'm quite happy, chugging along with my life, making sure my kids are healthy and happy and that makes me feel i have achieved something. Most people, either don't have the aptitude or ability for education or sporting greatness, doesn't mean they aren't entitled to their opinion though.

I personally hope khan goes back to being the person he was before he turned pro. Knuckles down with his training and comes back better. However, i still don't feel he will become World Champ because of that glass chin of his.
