look he is a better boxer than any of us (olympic silver medallist for a start)... why cant anyone on here have any respect for sportsmen or women and feel the need to knock them down (no pun intended) at any opportunity. so what amir got knocked out does that make him a bad person... NO. does it make me better than him.... NO. only when we have achieved on the scale he has can we pick it apart... and as far as i am aware there are no silver medallist olympic boxers on uk muscle. |

glad someone agrees! i have just seen the video and to be fair he didnt really have much say about it at least he tried to get up.... he is only young remember. if anyones to blame its frank warren from what i have read about him he is a complete tw@t. i hope amir one day does become a world champion...... i particularly like the way he is very pro british/pakistan and in the coming generations thats the type of cross minority role model the country needs |

yeah agree with pompeyman, he would beat up everyguy on this forum in a boxing fight, and no one here would be able to put him down like they think also, he was fasting as a muslim, and imagine trying to lift everyday in the gym on no food and water, maybe it was silly to fight in the month of Ramadan, but he will learn from it, I think Danny Williams doesnt fight in Ramadan though which is sensible. |

i bet quite a few people on here could knock him out like that (remember he is only 8 stone or something) we would just have to catch him first, and thats the only thing he had his speed, i dont even think he was a good technical boxer just totally relied on speed. but he will learn from this and should come back better. |

i think hes a top technical boxer and very fast, the first fights he knocked his opponents quickly. I think he lacks skills fighting up close though and his chin is susceptible also. Hes got years to practise, and hes 21, hardly the end of his career! remember he beat the form british number 1 and fighter going for a world title! also he was fasting, if i train in the gym fasting for weeks, i will be WEAK! |
