ok exam tomoz, dont worry this isnt an exam rant!

as mentioned earlier in a different thread my brother is a waster, does nothing but drink and smoke, dont mean to offend people who drink and smoke but when you drink all your money and have two personality's (one out with the lads and one at home with no respect) in my eyes you should be shot

a perfect example is my brother, hes done alot of sh!t since moving back from uni, but i wont dig it all up

comes home tonight (didnt come home last night, house party apparently) and alls fine, he seems ok, im upstairs on gta (still hate you yeti) and i hear him go to the bathroom

30 minutes later, hes still in the bathroom, so me and me mum check it out............ hes asleep on the floor

now i got no problem with that, done it myself before, so i wake him up and hes obviously embarrassed about, it so he says 'keal on the black'

what?!

'Keal on the black!' he says again

so i ask what it means

'its under there on the black' (he says this while looking at a pile of dirty clothes to be washed)

by this time im laughing and mums sent him to bed

sssooo......... i decided to have a bath to chill out before me exams tomoz, and i start to hear him being sick

mum flips out and says hes got to leave (you may think its harsh but after 5 years of this, its more than overdrawn)

so he decides to clean up his room, which i wont describe plus i was still in the bath, but i could hear him and it sounded dodgey

so times goes by with mum crying so i wrap a towel around me and go down to stop her crying....all snorted!...get back in the bath again

then out of nowhere he comes out of his room and starts mouthing off, i could tell by his tone that he was getting in mums face, asking what he was being accused of etc, so i hop out of the bath (nearly fell but that was bad timing) wrap a towel around again and give him a mouthful of sh!t, and its starting to get physical

so hes now threatening to come over and hit me, and me being me i encourage him, mum stops him, but something occurred as soon as i got out of 'the zone'

if he had come over too close, im holding this towel around me

now im left with the options of giving a huge advantage of me having only one arm or me standing up too him nude..........

like i say mum stopped him so i never got to find out which what i would of done

anyways, he stormed out finally, after five years, hence why im up so late now, just needed to rant abit

i think being covered in bubbles wasn't overly intimidating though

anyways, hope you all enjoy my short story

At a young age its often hard to understand and appreciate the influence drugs and alcohol have on people and realise his behaviour may NOT be personal.
Whilst frustrating and a burden its often better to support these folk and try and understand exactly what sparks them off and avoiding that situation and helping them out of the situation.
One of my siblings was the same and still is 15 years later but we simply have to chanel the aggression if it appears and nurse him through his abuse of drugs and alcohol.
If though it continues seeking external help is the best method and having pople who know how to resolve this long terms.
If though he is just a tool who cant handle his drink then your parents have to decide whether they want to put up with all that comes with him or simply alter the relationship so he is not present at their house

hard one but undertsanding drink and drug users is a hard area

good luck with your exams and remember 'red bull gives you wings'

we have tried to help him, he just took advantage of it

my mum is the only parent in the house you see so he thinks he can could what he likes, i dont know, now that mum has finally cracked and kicked him out maybe itll wake him up!

This is for your mum to decide whether she:

A - Wants to support him enough to have him under the roof, supporting him through porfessional channels
B - Can detach herself from a strong emotion and boot him out

I have lived through much of the same for years and at the end of the day, until a user can want to help themselevs nobody else can. When they are ready 9 out 10 times you cant help them , merely support them and they have to want to get out of it.
With good professional help and the SUPPORT (not help) of a family people can come through, some though have to be written off

Depends on the complexity of the situation and your previous experiences

Sounds like my bro....Still lives with mum who does all his washing, all his cooking ironing etc....runs after him (i dont know why, i think she tries to please him).....Drinks every night down the pub and goes mental every fri and sat night and smokes 20 a day....does no excercise, eats nothing but sh1te and laughs at people who go to the gym....Not just that, but he has no respect for my mum, didn't even buy her a mothers day card....hes just a fkn ck...

You will always feel fury, its a natural reaction and you shouldnt apologise to anyone for that

Love as a family shall see you through and time either brings maturity, the ending of an addiction (and the behaviour that goes with it) or someone going off the rails for good

Hopefully it will (like most in this position) be onje of the first 2

These things always seem to be a bit complicated.
I have a friend where his child is abusive.
The wife wont kick her out of the house in fear of her getting into trouble.
The husband wants the kid out so bad it is compromising the realtionship with the husband and wife.
He gave his wife an ultamadum, and she said he can move........Woh.....

I think he needs to move on and grow up.
Hard to say on the drug thing, some guys never give that up.

In the end, if he does not want to quit, no other influence will make him with the exception of jail time.

My brother 34 this month and hes been on the booze and drugs for years ant worked for 16 years hes on the sick big money over £400 a week. Wen he was 18 and younger he had everything on a plate holidays, cars everything then my mum boss died so then he didnt get all this anymore he went off the rails ever since.

Im 27 and put up with his crap for years. He has girl friends but in the end they get rid him showing of and this and that in the end they sus him out and get sick of it in the end. He hangs around with wasters. All his decent mates moved away or working or got familys etc now.

Hes been arrested several times so he can play the sick game then to keep his money going then also play on that causing him to do mad things.

He now says hes bored all the time not surprised after 16 years but nothing will ever change there he just carry on and on like stuck record. Hes had all the booze and drugs rehab help and councilers and specialists help he throws it all away in denial basicly knows what hes doing but ant willing to change. Also the money hes on gives him no insentive to change either the goverment labour fault for giving him so much money for doing sod all on his ass.

Hes tried to kill us few times and all sorts hes nuts his mood changes all the time like yo yo all the time.

Any time you want chat or anything mate I know what its like I had this for 16 years this is only 1% of the story there far more with him.

my brother has no girlfriends, hes doesnt wash or shower so he hasnt got the choice

his friends ask why he smells, embarrassing as hell im telling ya!

what i didnt realise is that when my mum held him back, she actually held him up

apparently she pushed him over and as she put it 'it was like a mash mallow'................. now im guessing it means no resistance hehe

either way if he had confronted me i would of probably been fine with just the one arm hehe, i mean theres nothing of him, he hardly eats see and when he does its a del-boy style diet
