frigging asda

why are we treated like kids in this day and age?

i went shopping tonight, which is a traumatic enough experience as it is, then the stress levels went through the roof as i found out i will, as of the 1st of june have to pay £5 for each bag for life as the other bags are going to disappear

so effectively i am going to have to be a sad bastard and take my own bags, what the **** am i going to put in my kitchen bin???

:(

My local Co-Op where I sometimes get my bits for the day have just done this so I have to only buy what I can carry by hand or I'll have to buy a Roy Cropper shopping bag and look a bigger spaz than I already do.

Cardboard boxes in the boot of the car unload the trolley into them..when the box breaks recycle it.

Re: frigging asda

i bought one of those fair trade bags from asda and one from waitrose...

the waitrose one is better though. I tend to walk to the supermarkets anyway (asda and waitrose are next door to each other near me) so carrying a couple of bags isnt an issue.. seeing as everyone else round here seems to cary them as well you don't look out of place...

Re: frigging asda

I would have just about shopped at ASDA before, now not a chance

For those looking to stockpile bags, stick your hand down the side of the self check outs at tescos, usually loaded up

Can we do a poll on which bags are the best, I wouldn't be best pleased if I bought a fairtrade bag from M&S only to find out that Tesco's was cheaper and more robust. This sort of thing really worries me.
