You are right here, even when microsoft release the external bluray player for the xbox. I dont think it will ever move on to developing games on bluray for the xbox, I think it will only ever carry on to make them on a normal dvd. I could be wrong they may be able to develope a cable which can handle transfer rates between and external bluray device to the console and games be moved over.

In some aspects it does you are correct. But PS3 cant deal with AA etc which currently make some games (well most tbh) look quiet **** as AA was one of the revolutionary thing in HD gaming.

Never knew that about the PS3 thats cool, but I hate wifi, old school for me. The bluetooth head set thing is kinda cool for the PS3, and also being able to use your mobile phone with it is a great feature for the PS3.
You do not need to use a microsoft headset for xbox!!! I do not find my xbox wireless head set cack, I find it really good quality and the back ground noise reduction on it is very noticable. Any way back to the not needing to use a micrisoft headset.... You can buy an adapter to plug in the control and then use any headset you want... Or you can buy other headphones not made by microsoft (turtle ones, not open ear but 5:1 surround sound and inbuild voice and mic)

You are right it is obtained via a subsciption. I am happy to pay for the service. As it is alot easier to use(user friendly) and seems to work better than the PS3. Also I like achievements. Ok you get achievement whores on xbox but its always good when you got an achievement others cant get.
Also the future of PC gaming on Vista is going the same way as live. Some games (IE shadowrun on vista only) you want to play online... You need a Live subcription. You already have a xbox sub you can use this. Obviously this only effects pc gamers really.
But the future release of certain PS3 games are planning on charging a monthly sub for them (unless they scrapped this) kinda like an mmo fee.

I am extreamly impressed with my PS3 I really am. However in my eyes the xbox pips it. I am really looking forward to MGS for the PS3 this will show how far the PS3 has come imo

I was going to say modded xbox if its a perm ban or cheating online(bridgeing etc). They do not ban for no mistake. Getting over 90% neg feed back as well you do not get banned... As I have had over 90% neg feedback -.-

If you use perfect 1:1 copies crc checked by dvd mulleter you have a good chance of NOT getting banned! Theres plenty of research done on it to suggest that they check for copies that are slightly different from the original.

SNES is the best console ever.....the megadrive was ok, but only after they changd the control pad from three to six buttons......otherwise you couldn't play Street Fighter II on it

Although the old ones are nowhere near todays I know what you mean. The new console just does not have th same feeling for me as the old did when I was a kid playing SNES games nonstop.

I had the Sega Master System... and ended up shelving it much to my dads disgust due to getting him to buy the SNES console.

Microsoft dont have any plans to release an external blu-ray player for the 360. About a month ago they told everyone they are focusing on digital content, downloadable HD movies etc.

Think the 360 is more user friendly but the Ps3 seems to have loads of potential, think the fact the controllers are almost identical to the ps2 controllers is a bit cr*ppy. Feels really cheap

The atari was ok, but it had a disk drive.....Amstrad CPC464 that was the bad boy of choice, tape muvafcuker thats the shizz......20mins to load a 2D game...love it!

Are you sure about that? I know there is no solid facts.. But the typical leaked news is that they are.

Also alot is PR we are not doing this we are doing this... While in the background they are doing what they said they wont. Look at Conan (coming to PC soon) unextracted that game is 30 gig. A normal dvd can not cope, it would have to be a bluray to handle it. Thats one advantage the PS3 has is the storage space. Who knows time will tell. I know microsoft have been pro digital content for a long while, but 720p as the max digital download is ****, even then your looking at 7 gig + to download. 1080p is huge and would be good if they release that to download.
You are right about the ps3 has loads of potential. As I said MGS will really show what the console will do.

Also to the retro systems. I do not feel the magic with todays games that I once did playing games on the snes/nes/master system. I have only with a few games in recent years
Shadowrun and FF VII/MGS which is a shame as I miss the magic factor :(

no no... the atari was a cart system... you are thinking of the computers which were very good midi interfaces....

I had that system before my "Sega Master System" or the Snes. Swappedh my Brown house snake for it. I played centipede, pong and some other really basic games for many hours!! Looking back now kids must think WTF!!!
